How to solve Numericals in Physics?

Most of the student understand Theory topics in physics and they are satisfied with that.

They think they have made it! And yes this was true when students were in school because in school theory was more important than solving problems.

But as soon as one enters college, you cannot rely on theory because no entrance exams asks theory questions.
So obviously one must practice numerical in bulk

Now students will say, we do try to practice but we always fail. Our accuracy is very poor.

See there are two types of things in life, one which we Learn by ourselves, One which we are taught.

Our life is result of both of these type of activities.

Now to be very honest, Numerical in Physics can’t be done by oneself, Firstly you need to see how a teacher is solving them in a live class. You have to observe that carefully, you have to question each step, Like why this happened, How this happened.

So you cannot purchase a book and start solving numerical , NO! You have to select a teacher and attend his lectures and imitate his way and teachings. Then after attending lectures for a long time and practicing side by side, you will develop a habit of solving numerical.

Rules are very simple but for the way you have to refer to a teacher.

1) Read the question, Write the data, What is given what is asked?
2) Relate the data with a formula, For eg is mass is given, acceleration is given so think of a formula which involves both. Correct F=ma is that formula
3) Then see using this formula and data, where can I Reach?
4) That’s it, Do proper calculations and proceed.

So if we look at steps these steps appear so basic and fundamental, yet it is hard if we don’t practice much. So pick a teacher and follow his methodology and approach On an Initial level, Do not practice numerical alone, Do it with a teacher, or with a friend first.
